Juz wanna ask.... which one u guys prefer more ^_^
I own the RD500. It's a bang for the buck bass with a versatile sound. The T-bird is a very useful bass for rock but if you're intending to play it for other genres, you may find the sound a little off.
Then again, if you know how to tweak it, it could definitely work.
thunderbird and funk do not mix well. thunderbird and rock? yeeeaaah.
although i would highly advise anyone against getting Epiphone Thunderbirds. they have several flaws compared to the Gibsons, including epic neck dive and bleh tone.
my dad used to own the RD500; i helped him sell it off because he's not into the active electronics (typical old-school mentality...)- i should have kept it for myself, really...
