well he's in guns and roses now so unless he gets into G3 he's probably coming with them to play songs like shackler's revenge. :(

yeppp....very short while....

Has -Insert Name- set foot on sg before?

chances are no lol

although i must say it is improving at an alarming rate!!!!

kudos Singapore!!!!

hasn't buckethead left GnR years ago? he probably won't be in the new album, but there's a chance anyway.

anyway, i wish. but yeah lately there have been more great foreign bands coming over to singapore to perform. unfortunately i'm not into a great deal of them, like a7x or the bands from the taste of chaos. i love incubus though. hopefully there will be more. if buckethead were to come, i'd pay the huge sum to watch him

Bands that I will seriously go to watch if they come down to Singapore

Sabbath(with Ozzy)
Rage Against the Machine
Red Hot Chili Peppers

Can't think of any other!!!

i heard that led zeppelin was scheduled to come to singapore in the 70s. but the singapore government was damn anal abt hair that time. there were rules that guys with long hair will be served last in any queue. so, the government banned led zeppelin from coming because they had long hair.

thanks ah now i bet led zep hates singapore for having ridiculous rules at that time.

i hope deep purple makes another come back to singapore. the last time it happened ritchie blackmore threw a tantrum and pissed fans off.

and i'll die to see metallica live here. and maybe KISS hahaha.

haha, i remembered my mum told me that kitaro was also rejected entry to perform cause of his long hair.

ok, off topic, but yes.
buckethead is pro

MAIDEN, just maiden, and I'd die happily.

but metallica, kiss, acdc. and ozzy with either sabbath or wylde would do rather perfectly. oh well. maiden would just be mind-numbing if they came.

GAWD, if buckethead comes i'll be so @$@#$#@$@#$

better still if he came along in a package with his teacher Gilbert....hahahhah

Buckethead is someone who has improved a lot!

If you dig up his old videos and concert footage - you hear the old school raw 80's metal tone. And lots of shred... a lot of his songs sounded alike too.

And now... woah... quite a drastic difference. I think he sounds so much better. He PLAYS better too - I recall his vibrato was... uh... non-existent back in the day. There's also a bigger variety of material - Colma anyone?

i believe maiden has some kid of minimum quota.... heard from some organisers... there were rumours of them coming last year or the year b4... but kena cancel due to low turn presales... i mean... quite a number of us singaporeans wait till the last min to buy tix. summore if maiden come singapore... where do u expect them to play? fort canning?... rather small dun u think... indoor stadium might be more feasible to hit their quota. but kids these days dun listen to stuff like that... haiz... probably 5566 would do better here... hahahha

i think motley crue turnout was pretty gd? did it manage to hit 4000?

if motley crue can hit 4000 maiden can hit 8000 =)

or is that still too small lol

Buckethead is just one example of a player i love cos of the way he embraces such a large variety of playing styles.....His album electric tears was such a tearjerker...such beautiful emotion in it. He has a few acoustic style albums too which he plays a really stripped down format...and it showcases hes emotional side.

He can, however certainly rip apart some insane chromatic licks can easily kick Petrucci's ass. I however like his earthly fretboard feel and his innovative use of effects...something you dont really see much in these virtusos/shredders.

Screw sg garment for lovelovelovelove sake-.-" as if long hair can strangle ah gong LEE from a distance~~

colma's alright. very slow and smooth album. i like his new album. albino slug (especially the song siege engine and redeem team.)

my fav track is nottingham lace in the album enter the chicken for the mmnt, give me a few minutes to listen to the whole big b's discography and i might change my mind. give a listen to all his album. it will sure blow ur mind hahahaha.

inbred mountain album is cool too.

i really wish he comes Singapore and hypnotize us with his music

sorry to sidetrack from buckethead. but yeah if he came i'd pay good money. lol imagine if he walked around singapore even with his mask and buckethead on. either get caught for suspicious activity or get spotted out. haha.

maiden was supposed to come in 04 or 05 then had security issues or sth, and quite small number. but then again i'm quite sure the band's more about the fans then just the size of their crowd. just that logistics are always a lovelovelovelovelove. projected sales can only get encouraged gig after gig. slayer saw a rather not-too-bad turnout tho araya said it was quite tiny. slipknot drew 5000 plus if i'm not wrong. megadeth around 4000 i think, so was heaven and hell. so i dont think maiden would have a problem.

gotta remember the hordes of maidens in Indon and Malaysia and Thailand. If they gave it like at least 4 months of ticket sales, i wouldnt be surprised if the indoor stadium wasnt enough. like even in Singapore, anyone who's listened to hard rock or metal could very easily be into Maiden
