currently im using a line 6 uber metal pedal hooked straight to my guitar. it sounds great and all but sometimes when im jamming with my band, my solos cant be heard. what pedal can i get to boost my sound at certain parts and how much does it cost? thx in advance

get a booster pedal. price ranges from $50 - $200+ if im not wrong.
get a behringer. its cheaper & pretty good.
Fulltone Fat-Boost is good too.

there are so many other boosters out there. check it out at stores and see which one suits you best

hm, behringer eh.ill check it out. are there any good ODs around that i could consider maybe? ive had some bad past experiences with behringer products

threadstarter, for a start, whats your EQ set to on your ubermetal and amp?

amp (Vox AD30VT) - treble 2 o clock, mid 10 o clock, bass 1 o clock
uber metal (insane)- bass 7, scoop 7, mid 7.5, drive 8, treble 7.5
hope this helps

Get either a EQ pedal (danelectro fish n chip is pretty cheap in the 2nd hand market) or a booster/OD pedal (you can get a TS7 pretty cheaply in 2nd hand market too.)

The Uber Metal used to be my primary distortion pedal. Used it mostly for metal and hard rock though it sufficed for quite a lot of stuff. You can reduce your scoop, tweak around for a less scooped sound. It will make your tone fatter, thicker and more powerful.

Oh and for solos, definitely get a booster although some overdrives work excellent as boosters. I use my Digitech Bad Monkey overdrive, works superbly. Cleans up the sound a bit, but my recommendation for using the Bad Monkey as a booster - make sure its E.Q. is for a more trebly tone.

True. Delay makes your tone more interesting but its not going to help your tone cut through the mix any better. Furthermore, some of us here choose not to have effects in our rig. Just drive pedals / amplifier's onboard drive.

But in my opinion, the bare minimum for your pedals loop would be a distortion and an overdrive/booster. Without an overdrive/booster, there are a lot of limits to what you can do.

yeah get an overdrive or volume booster. i was in ur case and what i did was, for riffs and whatever, i use one pickup, for solos, i use the other. set the "solo" pickup at a higher vol. but whatever, get a tubescreamer or od1 or goosonique booster. hahah. i use a mfx, so for me, change patch, SOLO!!!

your solo can't be heard?

here's some advice you can try before getting a booster:
- when starting, set your guitar volume somewhere around 7, don't max it.
Set the amp loud enough to get yourself heard in the mix.
- when comes to solo, max the volume.
