let me see... i got two frens who are using ax1500, one of them ,tone sucks worse than anything u can ever imagine coming outof a electric guitar, the other, quite nicely patched...at the end of the day, it all depends on how much time u spend tweaking those knobs i guess...

i'm lucky/unlucky i still using mi zoom g2.1, ive learned to embrace that really digi sound, anw i got a cool SRVish patch, juz gotta post a recording for yall to hear

with 500$ u can get a TS and a DS1 and probably a delay and chorus...should serve the purpose...in other words...screw the multi effects go for analogs :lol:

the POD XT is good and another one you should try is the VOX tonelab.
with regards to creamy sound. sometimes, it's got to do with setting the equalization and settings on the effects you use in the system.

ya thats the problem with modelers and the main reason i ended up selling my xtlive.
Then again u think of spending only so much with analogue lets say 500? Ive already spent more than $1000 this 1 1/2 yrs alone on pedals starting from scratch. Thanks to gas problems.
Just get the boss me-50 its a mulitfx thats meant to be run with amps. Look for the malay guy at rankin. He himself owns an me-50 for his personal use to demo it for ya.
Also if your just playing around with the guitar for fun, just get a multifx and be done with it. In the long run analogues still best though. You'll spend a lot more time playing and practising rather than tweaking the multi to get thaat sound.

hmm, stuff i play, most of them belongs to the rock blues, oldies pop, rock ballad and so on. So i guess i dont really need something that sound heavy.
I dont have a amp too, so i dont know if a multifx is a right choice. I always thought that a decent multifx -> any output sounds decent. With a budget of 600, would it be advisable to get a multifx and plug in to my com? Or will saving up abit for a decent amp be more pratical? My previous amp was spoilt, and im currently playing unplugged and sometimes direct into my computer which have about a second delay on guitar stimulator programmes

u dont have an amp..
then multi-effects is the way to go..
it will definitely sound good if u connect it to your pc..make sure your pc have a good soundcard. some multifx have SPDIF output. if u have SPDIF rca input on your soundcard like me, use it. Then u dont need to record via USB..install usb drivers. Some ppl have ticking problems, latency and etc recording via USB but this method is still reliable.
and dont have the idea multi-fx not good for live application. some niteclubs performers use multifx connected to an amp.
but again..its still up to you.

hmm im still considering whether to get a amp or multif. I got a budget of 500 only. Im thinking of ibanez valbee + tube screamer
valbee + tube screamer = gd choice
valbee = jekyll n hyde = better choice = $550
valbee is a gd amp ( i own it) its od sounds up to medium gain are quite ok. Its high gain sounds are a bit messy. So with the valbee its neccesary to have a pedal that can give u high gain distortion.

so will be a ibanez valbee will be a good choice? actually i dont really need a effect pedal atm. I just need some decent sound from the amp. most of the stuff i hope and want to play are more not very high gainish. Like little wing, redhouse by hendrix =) Maybe i should save up abit more to get a better tube amp? the maximum hit i can take current;y is 500
i have a podxt live. loads of banks and pre modelled effects. though i must say it's nice, i still can't find that exact tone that i want.

just go over to sweelee and try out the valbee for yourself. see whether u like. Diff people diff tastes.
Its quite a gd amp but somewhat limited by its small speaker. Make sure u try the amp b4 buying. Esp they say they giving u a new one. Try the new amp they giving u. There was 1 that i tried at the store that had problems.

if u can stretch ur budget a lil more, u could get the vox AD-50VT amp
its going for $595 at luthers i think... and it has built in effects adn amp modelling stuff.. yeah soo
