Don’t try to deny it, we’ve all tried to be dancing queens in the privacy of our bedrooms. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, you know that when Mamma Mia comes on the radio, you’ll be humming along.

Agnetha, Benny, Björn, Anni-Frid (aka ABBA. geddit? geddit?) may have broken up in 1982, but their music lives on. The ABBA phenomenon has spawned hundreds of tribute bands, a musical (MAMMA MIA!), and even a film adaptation of said musical.

Sadly, the members of the band have no intention of reforming despite fans pleading for them to “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” more ABBA.love Two years ago, Bjorn has said “We will never appear on stage again.” Cue the sound of hearts breaking around the world.

ABBA Cadabra was created 6 years ago by Jeanette O’Keeffe(Anni-Frid) and Jonas Falle (Bjorn), with the assistance of Bob and Leanne Bruce of Proud & Pennyless Productionz. Rounding out the famous foursome is Kylee Epp as Agnetha and Mark Olexson as Benny.

Being huge fans of ABBA’s music, they wanted to pay tribute to this legendary group in a fresh, original, and respectful way. Unlike other tribute bands, they do not “impersonate” the members of ABBA. They prefer to use ABBA’s music and those spectacular 70’s costumes to create a fun and magical evening for audiences.

No, they don’t do magic shows on the side, but they do promise audiences a magical evening with them.

So, in the privacy of your personal laptop, log on to Sistic and book your tickets for ABBA Cadabra! Prices range from $35, $45, $60, $75, $90. It’s gonna be the Esplanade Theatre, 2 – 4 July 2010 (8pm on Friday, 3pm and 8pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday). MICHELLE ANN KWARA

Haha... Ikea... I remember one of their bookcases was called 'Billy'. I went around the house talking about Billy the Bookcase the whole day. I love Ikea too, though. They make stylish furniture affordable. No need to go parkmall liao.

ABBA is legendary.
Sadly, like The Carpenters, nobody would be caught dead wearing their t-shirts!
True or not?

Im currently hooked on At Vance's covers of ABBA tunes.
Special mention to "Winner Takes it All".
Look it up... :)

I'm a lover of Rock and hard music, whenever I play any ABBA numbers at some gigs, my frens will say, "Hey you're playing that number becos...you have to right?" I'll just nod....but honestly I loved many of ABBA numbers like Super Trooper, Happy New Year, Winner Takes it all, Does your mother know...etc..Was a fan of ABBA when I was young and still am.

yeah .... not shyto admit - I love ABBA too .....

why not have a softies ABBA karaoke hang out session? Or jam session?
