Hum bucker hums

I have a weird problem.

I just bought an american deluxe fender strat HSS.It comes with samarian cobalt noise-less PUPs

the funny thing is,

when I switch on my OD pedal,my single coils are super duper silent, but my hum-buckers are humming ... 8O

any ideas?

i believe one of the switchin positions makes "coil cuts" your bridge humbucker !!

Loose ground wire?

could be the ground wire like what cow said.

maybe the output of your hum is higher than your single coil?

Loose ground wire will give loud buzz even on cleans not hum and higher output will be more of microphony type feedback lah.

I would say just live with it as only one position giving u that classic strat hum ....sometimes it goes away at certain position from the amp !! Any mod to remove that hum will alter that classic tone !!

yup only when its the bridge humbucking position, thats why its so weird, i would have expected it from the single coils, but not from the humbuckers

The single coils are superbly quiet, what an ironic trade-off.... 8O

actually i just checked it out. my pickups are not the same as the ones the reviewers have,My humbuckers are Fender Enforcer(s)...

The DH1s are I believe comes with the older Am Deluxe Strat models, but these humbuckers are different..

fender enforcers are the highest gain humbucking pup fender has i tink.

comes with the John 5 tele also.
