How to tell if a Fender Strat is fake?

well how can one tell from a mere distant picture like that, yes?

i've yet to come across a Jap Fender with the 'E' prefix in the serial number. thusfar, all are 'F'... i'm looking into the matter, hang in there 8)

i second what mikemann said.. buy the guitar because u like the feel.. if it's a no brand cheapo axe n it plays well among others, why not?.. :twisted:..

can i suggest.. dont buy that fender. i'll recommend u a friend who has this fender mexico about a year old..with 3 dimarzio pickups + pickguard set (manufactured and soldered completely by dimarzio). .he wants to sell it off. if u're interested, sms me at 97829267.

anyway, japs fender are like mexican fenders.. if u want the real stuff...buy USA fender. the quality is different in terms of the quality of the timber used. and USA fenders are a better long term investment.
