Hey its me again. I got one scenario which i totally cant figure out. But any of u guys know any way of switching distortions. For example. For one part of this song, id like to use the sansamp gt-2 but for another part id only like to use the ds1. can anyone help? :oops:

this cud do it. Any A/B box shud do the switching too.

HA, it allows you to switch between different set-ups of pedals or amplifiers, there are basically 2 to this pedal, A and B, for example you can plug your distortion and overdrive pedals into A and your tremolo, chorus and acoustic pedals into B, and with clicks on the pedal, you can chosee between these 2 set-ups...

there is the way of the 1 stomp on 2 switch technique. put both pedals close together and step on both switches at the same time.

Free and easy just requires a bit of practice or you can find ark to build u a switcher.

BUTTT....wouldnt you need 2 inputs in ure amp? how do u manage that...i cant tap dance on my pedals for nuts. it screws up my playing. :cry:

this strikes me as queer

why not.. say bare bones, guitar->(distortion pedal)->Gt-2->amp

so when u wanna switch, just step on both la, how hard can it get? isnt that

i guess...im the type who doesnt like to worry & concentrate much on my pedals during performances. if i try the "double stomping gear method" skali u step only one pedal, sound screwed. id rather get smth to ease my mind and concentrating on \m/ rocking out although it may cost me some $$$. to each his own i guess..

haha interestingly even if you get a looper, you'll still have to step on a switch to well, switch effects.. so why not just stomp on both with either feet? isnt that the point in the initial stages? What're you currently using now?

my main drive is the sansamp GT-2 my "softer" drive currently is a ds-1. after going through the websites...loopers aint cheap 100++...have to practice the "double stomp" :cry: unless someone wants to sell it for less than 50 bucks *hint hint* :wink:

nice try there.. haha

i dont see whats wrong with stepping on 2 of the separate pedals at the same time to choose your dirt box.. lol practice i guess?

You have 3 options.

1 - u get a looper = cost money. which you cant seem to afford.
2 - you practice stomping on 2 pedals. free.
3 - stacking your pedals. use one for your softer driver and stack them both for ur heavier one. also free.

if you cant afford gear make do with what you have.

i don't see why you would need 2 inputs.

+1 to that. c'mon, it just takes a bit of practice. +1 to the stacking option as well, so just set one drive on low gain and the other on higher gain, and mix n match.

lets take into consideration of having the gt-2 with a small stomp switch and a boss pedal type with the big metal piece.It might not be that easy to switch fast enough.

as for needing 2 inputs on amp??

To the thread starter, you will have to understand how the looper/selector work and it will be clear that there is no need a 2 input amp

Using the boss line selector as an example(its a loop selector also, other than different name, it can do what you want and more). What you want to achieve is as below

loop A send(output)----->input of DS-1, Output of DS-1---->Loop A return(input)

Loop B send(output)---->input of gt-2, output of GT2----->Loop B return(input)

And your guitar cable out---->Normal input of the line selector, Normal output of line selector----->amp input

In one of the mode of the LS-2 which is what you want to do,

The guitar signal will go into loopA(Ds-1) and to the amp usually. If you want to switch from guitar signal to loopB(Gt-2) then to amp, just step on the pedal one time.

If the above still sound confusing, do google on loop selector, A/B switch etc.

As for the cost, nothing is too expensive when it can do what you want and make you play music...

imho and have fun
