How to properly store a guitar at home

For those who keep their g's in a bag ..just drop in a couple of small silica sachets ...oh ya>>make it a habit to always store G's in a bag after use !! Will save $$ later ....

but where can i purchase those silica bags? and are they really effective?

go to a photo/camera/film place..i didnt have to pay anything for the ones i keep in my cases. and i keep them in all my cases including the inner pocket of my rockbag, forgot to mention that earlier. they definitely help some.

From my experience, nothing beats keeping the guitar in its hardcase, with a few satchets of silica gel, all the time when you aren't playing it. Coat the strings with FastFret and the strings will not rust for a long time too..
