How Much Is It To Ship From The US To SG Using Vpost?

I was thinking of getting this.

Buy Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded Maple Top Electric Guitar at Musician's Friend

Its 949 USD. I was wondering how much it would be to ship this from the US using musician's friend, to SG. I believe that Vpost is the cheapest?

I have an uncle living there. Since the shipment is free arnd the US, is sending the guitar to my uncle and then my uncle ships to me, the cheapest way?

i have never shipped a guitar before, but just recently, a condenser mic cost me about $28SGD via Vpost.

i believe there was a thread recently also asking the same question. you might want to search the forum to check it out. cheers

if you are going to ship to your uncle then get him to ship by USPS back. I'm not sure if you can use vPost from a US address other than the one they provide you with. It may be cheaper to ship by USPS anyways, or UPS for that matter.

Oh, and I think you would need your uncle to purchase the guitar on your behalf because I believe Musician Friend does not accept our credit cards.

Yep, I'd say the best way is to ask your uncle to purchase the guitar on your behalf from MF (I believe they have free shipping within the US 48?) and then get it routed to you seperately.

USPS is probably the way to go. Almost without exception, they've been cheaper for me so far than Vpost. Plus, USPS has an excellent tracking system.

Wise choice dude. You can choose between UPS or FEDEX. I got good experience with them. You go the USPS way, you save. But when your thing lost..
