how low slung is your guitar

how do u guys pratcise? i got this dam seirous problem, i cant play well standing up, whenever i jam i sit down on a chair omg 8O and if i stand up and play, i muz hang real dam high, and my eyes are almost focused on teh fretboard, and everyone in my band is luffing at me

Keep practicing n b bttr at it then one day u'll laugh at them while shredding when their mouths go wide.

I guess you must know the fretboard and be comfortable with it before you start swinging ur guitar around while standing up, if not you'll sound like crap with all the mistakes, and the tripped over notes.

And of course the best way to be able to do that is to practise it that way.

you can cheat by slinging the body low but the neck higher. or just find the comfortablest position and get used to it lor =/

by slinging the body low and the neck higher you may have difficulty reaching the upper frets for your solos......but slash doesn't have a problem.....i guess he has long hands......if you have the height

My axe is 'slung' somewhere on my stomach area. I don't realli lyk it low (altho I used to bec I was more into pop/punk rock whr its mostly power chords thrashing) when I do some fill-ins or riffs on the lower end frets.

Keep it middle wld be good.

hahah..same here. Back when i was into old sch punk. :lol: Then i started feeling the urge to wanna reach those higher frets n scale down thtz when the guitar came up to my stomach. Not tht my neck touches it. In some positions, like if too high, sometimes my arms ache. Too low, my left hand fingers get cramps.

if u are right-handed, juz put the upper-wing on ur right thigh...n prop up ur left leg/thigh...for added balance..
