How is T-Rex's Bloody Mary pedal?

havent really tried the trex, but good pedals are in abundance (well, i mean everyone has their own taste), but a randolf/keeley ds-1 (i might get flamed for this) does the job well.

There are many different kinds of dist. You gotta tell us what you need & like. you can check out their site for review or samples. Randolf/ Keeley DS1 is nice too.

I heard the samples and I quite like what I heard. Just wondering, is it possible to step on it and change between clean and distortion? Because of the small button, will it be hard?

I suppose you're looking a metal distortion pedal since you're looking at the bloody mary. In that case, I recommend Krank's distortus maximus. At low volume, it might seem to lack gain but at if thr volume is upped, I assure you that you'll never stop riffing.. chugga... chugga... chugga...

d-akui, i dont quite get what you mean, most distortion pedals work by stepping on it, hence the name "stomp box" as for small buttons, the keeley and randolf ones only have a switch between regular and ultra mode, that one is hard to change while playing(unless you got three hands), but as for activating and deactivating the effect, just stomp on it man.

if the "small switch" youre referring to is the MXR sort, then not to worry, its perfectly easy. nothing too hard that you need a degree to figure out.

that really depends on the band lah. its common to use overdrives instead of distortions for rock. but uhm, theres only so low a heavy metal distortion can get you. no matter how low you turn it, it still sounds murderous.

go check out the sound clips on pedalgeek. to me, it has a somewhat muddy bass. as kank said, the krank distortus maximus is good, or u can look at the sansamp gt2. or if u're a lil more inclined to spend money, u can try checking out the demoniser by damage control engineering.

Again we see the Ds-1 make its appearance.

i swear markedymark, Roland/Boss, Robert Keeley and our local modders paid you to promote the DS-1. It seems to be the only dirt pedal you've been recommending.
