How do you deal with annoying friends?

I got these 2 friends who keep making fun of me just cause I got quite an expensive guitar. They keep saying 'sell the guitar' for the kick of pissing me off
I hit them after that, though after awhile it really starts to get me real pissed, so other than just ignoring them, anyone got any suggestions?

Erm sorry bro, but *facepalm* is the process of someone smacking himself in the face due to brain damage as a result of hearing someone say or do something stupid.

Person A: I just sold my Fender Strat for $10!!!

Umm... Play the guitar, and show them that you are awesome enough to own such a high end guitar? Or maybe just dao them completely. Such people don't deserve to be your friends.

I'd expect people to tease and bully those who buy low-end guitars, not high-end guitars, but that is something guitarists do among themselves. This is something I've never heard of before. My advice is, be frank, and tell them that they're pissing you off. If they persist, they're assholes, not friends. Friends are there to stand by you, not tease you for their own pleasure.

I also don't know how to play guitar... but I bought an MIA fender.... then damn a lot of people will say you don't how to play guitar still buy for what??

Even if someone owns a 10K guitar, it doesn't mean that the person is damn good or whatsoever... it just show how willing the person is to spend the money.

Even if you play good enough, they will compare you with some famous guitarist like slash or whoever. If they don't play guitar, they will not be able to understand how a guitarist see things and what not. They will start saying "You play like shit" and "your guitar give me luh you don't even know how to play".

Seriously, there isn't any rule that say "YOU MUST PLAY LIKE JIMMY PAGE/SLASH/WHOEVER TO PLAY A LES PAUL."

You can also take money and throw at them. I mean seriously. They are jealous that you are rich and just use "rich" as a counter attack. :mrgreen:
