She try to trick me by saying that she help pay for my new gear a bit but then after that she'll take my old gear.....

bah...wat i know is that she ain't never gonna get my esp. heh heh heh

QUOTE]

True that. But I was referring more to how he can maintain a constant pool of cash to fund his hobbies by selling stuff along the way. That's a consistent flow of profits man..yikes..hehe

No lah - there's always some kind of topping up to be done. Do you think I'd still be working in this crummy job if I could make a profit buying and selling gear? :)

BTW - I remember a great quote from Frank Zappa: Steve Vai,when he first joined the Zappa band went over to Frank's house and into the studio and was wowed by how much gear Frank had - all kinds of instruments, outboard gear, tonnes and tonnes of recording equipment etc... and he asked "Frank - How do you afford all this great stuff?" and Frank turned to him and said "Easy - I don't do coke."

Made me laugh anyway.

Oh? You have the other 1077XL? You know there were only 2 brought in back then?

2? as in brought into sweelee ar? i dunno bout that la but kinda interesting. Anyways, i bought mine from a fellow softie for 500bucks without the pups. Its black, he modded it and it had a hole where the 3way toggle switch used to be along with ALOT of chips and dings.

Me and my fren took all the rust of the trem and crap. Den i bought it to beez who installed a Dimarzio Blaze Bridge 7 along with new gotoh pots and orange drop cap. Now it is fully capable of kicking yours and every1 else's ass. 4got to mention dat i tune it to F and it plays awesome due to the 27" scale.

HAHAHA take that, punks!

ps mine was made in 2001, its written at the neck joint cavity or watever. cheers to our 1077s

saving up a bit, parents subsidize, but never sponser...
