Alright, dhalif has taught me this once but I still failed. can some one pleaseee explain how it should be done so that the string wont slip out or anything

Well i change string by string with a coaster supporting the trem. The first time i change all the strings at 1 go, i had to take like 1 hr to put it together n in tune

Hmmm... i think its high time a nice little tutorial on changing strings on floyds be done here...

I'll get to it... maybe in like... a day or 2... i hope. :)

If done right, changing the strings can take just 20 minutes. Even less if you are in a hurry.

yes, this is going to be great ... this website skidzophonics provided have alot of info on Ibanez ... but it'll b greater if someone local cud give us more info ... like the pickups, tremolos, maintaining etc etc ..

i'm thinking of getting that GRG270 packages from sweelee ... any comments on this ? thanks.

Woot?!?

y dun u get a RG270 instead? GRG series dun seem to sound as good as their RG counterparts.

Slip out? I don't get you..

But just to share how I change the strings on my floyd.. What I do now is because my trem is blocked it's very easy for me to change strings. You can block your trem at the perfect spot, then restring, tune up, remove the block and adjust the claw appropriately to get back in tune, then do final adjustments. That's how I do it. I will remove the block after I restring to adjust the claw and then block it again.. Just in case anytime I need a trem in emergency I can just unblock it and use immediately. How I block is with a few picks and an old 9v battery. Super ghetto, but it works for me :D If you all want pictures I can post

Now about slipping, I don't get you, do you mean your strings coming out of the bridge?
