Ok so a little information on my music background, I played piano and took my ABRSM Grade 5 Practical at 9 years old, been playing piano leisurely since then, picked up classical guitar at 14 years old, picked up acoustic along the way, started on electric guitar at 17. Had drum lessons for a year, and took some classical vocal lessons for about 2 years or so but singing pop songs. People say I sing well but sometimes I'm afraid that they are just giving me face. Never actually had any real jamming sessions because of lack of time and too many other commitments. I've seen a group do busking inside one of the popular buildings and thought that it would be really awesome if I could do the same. Seen a few gigs that were really good and kinda afraid that maybe I'm not up to standard. I found someone who've done gigs and asked if he wanted to do busking/gigs and he said ok.
I understand that there will be auditions and all, but I still want to know if going for the auditions may potentially be a waste of time. I like to be confident before I go for such things. I don't actually have any music/videos to show you guys though but is there any advice on these kinda things?
