there are bands who are religiously inclined (eg: Tourniquet), regardless of the genre. the incorporation of mere religious elements doesn't change the genre or transformed it into a new definition.

there is definitely no MUSLIM ROCK per se.

if you wish to believe in pagan rock/ sumerian rock/ wiccan rock/ agnostic rock/ whatever- it's still rock.

Bottomline, there is no such thing as Muslim rock.
A rock band with a Muslim line up yes. But a band that sings abt Islam, i doubt there is. Expecially if its rock. Im guessing no Muslim who knows his/her religion well will approve of it. It just does not seem right.

a band with muslim sing about islam got, raihan, hijjaz, brothers and more.

as for muslim band sing about islam in rock, not really, but if you notice songs like seruan (lefthanded), lovehunters (the album Ikhlas) is about islam

We can talk abt it in a differant approach where for example how your faith has changed you life or influenced your talent or creativity or maybe a tune you wrote abt the attributes of your faith... (Raihan did that, remember Shelter , POD and lately Matisyahu)
All faith shows us the need for tolerance and loving one another ...thats primordial >> so think b4 you wiggle that mucle in yer gap...please.

eh peeps,why when i read all the posts,i sense a certain tension involved? come on,i don't think a discussion on music with a religious theme is so serious right? I saw another thread on Christian rockers or Catholics Rockers somewhere here.It is quite peaceful there,how come there's small tensions here? :lol:
