what is so special about a 1989 clapton sig strat that makes it worth any more than a 1998 one?
they're not rare, they're still in production, and they had exactly the same specs from 1988 up till 2001, when the Lace sensors were changed to Fender Noiseless.
a late 80's one is not worth more than a late 90's one on the collector's market.
unless perhaps, if it was a first year 1988 first run in a rare colour like 7-up green. then maybe a wee bit more. but not like vintage or CS more.
