Help needed!

Hi fellow softies! I have a problem which I think some rockers experienced too.

Here it goes..
I'm a guy looking for a part time job for a month during my polytechnic holidays now. But i can't seem to find a job which can accept my long hair (as in those really long heavy metal style) other than those boring factories/warehouse. Any suggestions?

its hard to find a job if ur hair is really retardedly long i used to have hair slightly crossed shouders and i didnt manage to get jobs i think u can try those clothing line shops but if its too headbanging kinda hair its a diff story :/
if you need the money im sure some sacrifices have to be made haha , i chopped my hair just to slave my ass off to buy my first axe :x

Ok what're u trained or what's ur training in ur poly course? Music & audio related? If so i guess these industry hv no hair length preference (at least those that i know).

it shouldn't be that hard. try small f&b shops or shops targeted to youths. avoid coffee bean starbucks/anything with a reputation

i got through my whole internship working in a government organisation. a community centre :mrgreen:, with very long hair. tie it up neatly, and dress well. (very sleek ironed shirt, cufflinks, shiny shoes, smart pants) i outdressed everyone in my workplace and i looked like some big shot cos i simply had more "class" than all my other colleagues. i'm not bragging but i got that advice from an adult with very long hair also who worked in an office. look as sharp and smart as possible. good posture, manners and the way you talk also gets their attention off your hair. ppl will then take notice of ur "professionalism" rather than ur hair.

well it worked for me. i really dont know abt your case. but try to get the first impressions right.

i've seen a rocker working at starbucks. VERY VERY long hair. heavy metal long. half way down the back i think. well, he was exceptionally polite.. great!
