I got a JD 535Q wah. Problem is I didnt have an AC adaptor. I went out to sweelee and ranking and davis and music theme today and Could not get my hands on a 9v AC adaptor. So i Bought a few batteries 9V squarish ones.
Hooked up my wah and installed the battery in, Signal can pass through the pedal but the Wah isnt effecting.

Those who own JD Wahs, what do u use to power it? and Do you think its a power issue or pedal issue.

I think its a pedal issue, have you turned it on?

Pedals will allow signal to pass through even when there is no power source if I'm correct.

Had this experience before with tuners and some boss pedals.

I don't have a 535Q but maybe you might wanna check the manual out. Read it a little, I guess thats a good solution. If that don't work, you might wanna call sweelee, they should be able to help.

I have the gcb95, i used both 9v batteries and one spot adaptor to power it before. All ok. Try puttin the battery in other pedals and see if it works, this is to chk if the battery is workin, if workin then check the battery clip of the wah, and see if u can get any clues.

To add on to wat lightice has said, u have to push down hard on the wah to activate it, cos the button is under the treadle, u will hear a click sound when it is properly pressed.

Can we sticky this thread?
