Yes you can... my friend has a pair of sennheisers with woofy bass response and relatively few mids/highs as compared to my ATH-M30s

Have you tried AKGs? I have a pair of K141Studios you could have a squidge thru if you want to hear them. They're quite good, though not the most comfortable if you wear spectacles.

I got the Stanton DJ Pros from Esden at Sim Lim. Great bass response, but the thing has quite a tacky construction. I've no problems with mine now that I did a slight modification to it but before that it was plain sickening.

But it does provide good sound. Filters noise as well

Anyway, I'm using Audio Technica A900 (closed). Sounds pretty good to me.
