Yes you can... my friend has a pair of sennheisers with woofy bass response and relatively few mids/highs as compared to my ATH-M30s ;)
 
Have you tried AKGs? I have a pair of K141Studios you could have a squidge thru if you want to hear them. They're quite good, though not the most comfortable if you wear spectacles.
 
I got the Stanton DJ Pros from Esden at Sim Lim. Great bass response, but the thing has quite a tacky construction. I've no problems with mine now that I did a slight modification to it but before that it was plain sickening.

But it does provide good sound. Filters noise as well
