Guitar Strings

DRs for me! I don't know why, but i find that they sound best after they tarnish, that's why i don't change my strings much. I only change them when they break too many times, and i run out of string or the string looks like a zebra. I use 46-10s on Eb tuning. Rare as hell, so i stock up. :D

reset the truss rod?
got to tighten? What if the neck doesn't bow, still require tightening?

no need.

If floyd rose locking nut?
no need to enlarge?

See if your E string can fit in or not first
See your springs strong enough or not first.
See your tremolo post and knife edge hard enough or not first. Sure to chipped one if you're tuning to E and if its a cheapo budget FR

Most important question. Are you using E tuning or detune?

Have you tried .13 before?

I use 13-56 on my baritones.

The thing abt strings with special coatings or tougher material whatever not...will just increase your fret wear .. i would rather use cheapo's than goin through the hassle of re-fretting.....just a caution!!
Btw i like those DR 's and EH strings !!

hi woul like to tlk bout the string guage an size too....if u play like e flat tuning...try getting .11 cu zits more feel than using the .09 these will be too flimsy...my feel...maybe if u tune all the way to C or D like metal bands...u use .13..tsit'll help

No coated strings for me. Its a great solution if you don't play often, but if you do, its an exercise in vain. The coating wears off over the areas which contact the frets, exposing the steel.

In addition to that, the reduction in harmonic responsiveness, and overall dulling of tone, no no.

The Dean Markley blue steels have done good for me so far. I used to play light gauge (009..) but switched to regular (010..) for a much better overall tone and feel. Wow, what a difference it makes playing fatter strings.

As for 013's, Stevie was a tall, strong and powerful guy. I will break my fingers if I try 013's.

i use d'addario .10 to .52s so its skinny top, heavy bottom. i used .13s before, but it just made my fingers a whole lot harder and im jus tnot used to it.

i used to play ernie ball strings, but they snap easily although they are very smooth

S.I.T stainless steel
they dun rust pretty fast
plus they dun run out of tune so easily wen i whammy my guitar
