Guitar strap preference

Just throwing a question to the forum.

What are your personal preference when it comes to your guitar strap, apart from it being a necessity accessory to have for your performances? Are you some one who's particular in choosing your strap or are you not particular with it (free strap that comes with your guitar is the best)

Strap locks? Material? Design? Brand? Cost?

Do share.

i love:

skinny straps,
leather,
brown,
slung low, not extremely low. but slightly lower than average,
comfort doesnt seem to be an issue

UNTIL I TRIED THE SADOWSKY NEO STRAP!! wth makes my les paul SO LIGHT and comfy. feels like carrying nothing.

so now i have a dilemna, comfort or looks.. hmm

Straplocks? nah, used to use them (Dimarzio), but their designs a little plain to me... so I stopped... Never used the locks at strap buttons...

I dun mind nylon or fabrics... or even leather... as long its smooth its good. I fidget a lot on adjusting the strap position on my shoulder lol

Design wise... ITS IMPORTANT!!! makes me wanna put the guitar on... And by the way I'm still looking for a Pink Hello Kitty strap, preferably new and unused...

Are you referring to the ClipLocks?

There's a strap lock which allows you to use your original strap, but just swap out the old strap pins. Marvel is it?

I'm happy with my maton strap, leather, comfy.. But still looking for that strap lock.

The $5 nylon Ernie Ball straps in black. The price might have gone up though.. :?:
I've had the current strap for more than 5yrs!! :D
Jim Dunlop strap locks a must.. I've seen 1st hand someone broke a neck of an Epiphone LP when it crashed!! Ouchhh!!
Height depends whether i feel like Morello or Hetfield... ;)

Planet lock strap : Black Polypropylene. It's all black.. Bought at $20 from ranking. The locking part isn't compatible for all guitars.. For e.g., it isn't compatible with telecasters(at least for mine)... and I need to use a lot of strength to make it stay there...

i use Dunlop's Grommet straps. the ones with the holes in them. abit thick but they do a good job on holding on to my guitar.

Haven't found the perfect strap for me just yet. The only one that appeals me so far is in fact the Dimarzio ClipLock's Peace Camo patterned one, but it's not a die die must get either.

Right now just settling with a cheap strap. Bleh :?

I'm using the Dimarzio Cliplock strap.

Its really durable and it doesn't tangle about.

No problems with it so far!

Levy's Leather guitar strap for me with Dunlop straplocks!
I bring my guitar up as high as it can with the strap, so my guitar is around my waist.

Around the waist? Quite high cause it's more comfy...

I used the cheap 5 dollars strap in the past, thinking that it wouldn't make a difference. But after awhile, i noticed the difference in the quality of the material used. So now i use Planetwaves locking strap. But they don't fit on jumbo strap pins. Funny thing is, they fit on the mushroom shaped strap pins but not the jumbo ones that are shaped like a chinese rice bowl...

kerplunk182, u're a bassist right?

must must must try the sadowsky neo strap. its the ultimate strap for comfort. nothing beats it
