I think you meant 18.5mm = 0.728 ~ 3/4 inch !

lol, yeah busy working lah. calculate wrongly, i meant to say 18.5mm, 3/4 inch. I fitted it wrongly n was short of abt 40mm of room across.

Now u can tell why i screw up my calculation in the first place rite lol!!!!!

yup open back, i copied the specs for a bogner shiva open back. I still have another cab but no speakers to fit in. I took the marshall specs, making it closed back or at least convertible to open back. It build alr, but not finished cuz no speakers.

they tell me their machine cant cut, so LL i do it myself lor. toughest n most tiring part, the rest is just patience, n sweeping away saw dust.

ACtually i play cheat lol. Instead of sawing the circle, i drill holes near the outline, then saw it. Its more troublesome, but less tiring than sawing the 3/4 inch wood!!!!!!!!!!!

I almost gave up looking for cab maker until i emailed Nik and he told me he makes cabs as well.. ordered a custom made one for my tweed deluxe. Can't wait till it arrives.

Thanks for the headsup on the wood supplier. Maybe next time can make an extra cab..

hey out of topic but let me know how his cab n the twedd deluxe sound like yeah. I was deciding between that n the matchless, but i got a gd deal on a ac30cc. May want to get the bassman in future, i miss the 6L6s bottom.

Ur cabis with wat speakers? I thinking of trying his korean brand one.

Really respect guys like you who have the patience to do your own woodwork. At home I've an electric jigsaw, circular sander & polisher, electric plane, dremel rotary tool (and others which I've forgotten) but yet I hardly get down to work. Wei: i bought a gb128 same as you.. haha.. i thought i'd just try that out first. Maybe in future can order in a real alnico speaker like the celestion blue or a weber. I'll let ya know how it sounds.

yo Indigo_blues, so u just ordered the cab without speakers ah? Btw, alnico too low wattage for 2X12 for me. In case need to play with louder amps, 50w may not be enough... But its good for lower wattage amps, u get the speakers driven too.

Thats why the vox ac30 n bassman n early marshalls was so legendary(its considered that u get THAT tone onli with those speakers), cuz they get speaker overdrive too. N many loyal supporters swear by their life at only that specific choice of speakers.
