guitar lessons

pop up at all music today. so its that shop next to guitar gallaery, always hang out there, din koe it provides lesson, i thought that all music schools should have yhamah type of look, big place and lots of class rooms like tution center. thought it was just another guitar store . but anyway, went there, asked the counter stuff the rates. 160 for 4 hours of lesson!!! not a bad deal provided some music school charges around that price but are half an hour or 45mins lessons weekly for a mnoth. the staff said there is only one guitar instructor here (so that's justin?), too bad he was not around.

Paul is currently playing at moonlight bar, @ tanjong pagar.

He`s rather busy lately n from what i know, i think he`s not taking in any new students atm.

Parklane? Alight at doby gauht station. Parklane is just beside selegie cte.

veri easy to find

I use to take lessons from Rosli many years back , he`s from local band sweet charity.

he`s a very gd n patient teacher.

Think he`s still giving lessons.

You can learn from my teacher i've. He's a really good guitarist. Although not as qualified as Justin, but he teach me lots of stuffs. He push me from having no grade in music to grade 5 within less than 2 years of learning.

He taught me jazz and whole lot of new music perspective. He can teach you anything, Martin Taylor fingerpicking, Classical, Metal, Crazy Shreddings, Jazz, almost everything under the sun. PM me if you want his email.

I think I learnt from Rosli too when I was with Yamaha, the old PS. But eventually I paid, and missed quite a fair bit of lessons; because was highly controlled by first gf...

And now it's like many years after that... I am mostly self taught and really want to improve myself. Justin Ho sounds real good, but very expensive...

How's Citymusic's guitar lessons like? I want to learn fast riffs, and solos... Afterwhich, further to a range of genres...

Anybody here ever learn from Beez before?

i wanted to seriously pickup guitar maybe join a yamaha course or somthing but its v $
sigh.........
and the dude playing electric canon in d, solid man

ok Yamaha's rates are like $90 for 30 mins lessons a week for 9 months. That is actually quite cheap. I have a few questions about it though. Do they teach you fixed stuff regardless of your playing ability? (As in starting all over from basics)

Also, I heard that you have to buy alot of materials eg. books which are not included in the lesson price. Is this true?

haiz, u noe beeZ is the best guitar player,
but too bad he's not teaching animore.

but do visit alan koh from guitar77.
he'll give ya a good start.

now i finishing up my electrics guitar lessons, next i gonna go for classical lessons

How are the lessons like for the electric? They cater to your skill level? Or must you be a pure beginner kinda thing?

i could never figure out the diff between the classical lessons and the electric lessons...aren't they all the same? bcos one's electric and one's not...

they're very different

in classical, u use ur right hand fingers to pluck, electric u use pick
in classical, u read music sheets, but electric we read tabs
in classical, we vibrato differently
in classical we play differently

I've not taken lessons from him but the guy has a TON of experience, great feel to his playing and... he loves music. You can see it in the way he talks, the way he raves about styles of playing, tone techniques and so on. If you live near him, why not? :)
