Guitar for a newbie?

is the Ibanez GSZ120 the same thing as the SA120? Is it just a different name for diff regions?

If they are different models altogether, what's the diff?
sweelee doesn't have the SA120 :( only the gsz120... if there's a diff, that is.

went to the bras basah outlet over the weekend. the guy there said they don't have the sa120 and no idea when it's coming in again.

Haha

I went over to Swee Lee during e weekends too.

Set my eyes on the Black RG350. Gre8 sound, Nice outlook.

IMHO

RG imo is one versatile guitar & I particular lyk e sound of it.

Currently, I'm using H-H config (3-way switch) & its working perfectly fine for me, but sometimes I find them to punchy & cutting for a rhythmic guitarist like me.

So in order for me to maintain the sound & not compromise the punch, I feel that the H-S-H config gives me a wider range to choose from.

Lets say I wanna go palm-muting but dun wanna make it too loud, I can push it to no.2 switch (for 5-way switch) & e punch will be retained with the sound coming out as tho its in e background & when need be, i can switch back to no.1 for louder boost.

I dunnoe if I'm talking crap here, but yeah I feel it this way. I'm rather a weird guitarist imo.

there won't be any stock for the SA120 in another 2 months :(
and my lessons start next month already.
so either i just settle for the ibanez jumpstart package or...
any other guitars within my budget to recommend? i like the SA's type of body and the darkish head and neck.

erm.....if your really keen on the sa120, y dont u just buy an amp first, and borrow some guitar from one of your frens ya. then in 2 months u can get the sa then. :D

GSA60? GSA is like a more budgetted version of the real SA series guit. I tink it all boils down to your personal preference. To some, Jumpstart guit may be good, yet to others, GSA60 may be good.

I suggest u go down to try it out. I mean Swee Lee doesnt limit how many tries per person rite? Jus go & see if u can whack out some *toot* u wan in that guit b4 u decide to bring it home w u.

i'd recommand you'd get a stratocaster... a mexican one... maybe 500 can buy? anyways, a stratocaster can last you your whole lifetime...
