Hey Dude..

I was talking to a fellow softie about my recent rebirth in guitaring and he pointed me to you for advise on effects and stuff..

Ok so I haven't played for 6 years and had sold whatever I had back then. So this year I went on like a mad buying rampage, buying guitars and effects..

This is what I have for my pedals now..

DD3 - CE5 - DS1 - OCD - TS9 - 535Q

I was speaking to some other softies and they did mention that I'd probably need a compressor or something like that. What do you reckon? Would you have anything in mind for my current setup?

They also warned me about going to your house.. heh.. he did say that my gf will probably kill me after I leave you place.. please be kind

Compressors do the flatline where hard pickin is evened out as much as possible with the subtle picks .... giving you a nice soft bouncy feel as if tis coated with syrup ...hope i make sense :-D

Eg when you strum a chord the first string hit will be loudest so sometimes is best to even out with rest to give a smooth feel this improves finger work ...and adds FEEL to it too :mrgreen:

Limiters are an extreme form of compression ...
