Grace Within - BaRoRK piece from RoRK

Not entirely familiar with your style, nice playing you have there, but less reverb/not so thickish reverb for the rhythm section would have fitted better.

May I know how did you record it?

I hear string buzz, guitar setup required?
Tempo seems to be not constant, maybe you can try recording with a metronome/beat and then remove when "mastering".
Levels seems to be on the red as I hear distortion, or is it myspace or my damn pc.
Song is just average, nothing groundbreaking nor exciting.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

ADSR, I'm more of a rock/fusion/progressive type of player or at least that's what I think. Recording was done on a Strat into a Toneport UX2. Yah reverb is too much - it's an old setting that I have. Time to tweak it some more.

Edder, yah the guitar is kinda scrappy. Haven't played the Strat for many fullmoons. The bugger needs more TLC than I can provide, unfortunately. Timing issues on only two to three parts other than that I like it the way it is. The timing issues is more of a mistake cos' the fingering and going up and down the neck for the harmonics needs more practice for someone like me to pull off cleanly.

Only got the tune for a short while before I started recording. I normally need to practice a lot more before I can do something decent - and sometimes even that doesn't help. :-D

Sorry nothing groundbreaking but it's not that easy to play it actually. Some weird chords, natural and artificial harmonics and a couple of times I wasn't sure what to do. It was almost immediate arrangement. There were two other parts that didn't make it into the recording.

And my fingertips were swollen after running up, down and sliding across the frets on an earlier piece. So I kept hitting other strings on a few occasions.

Levels are hot on a number of spots - my bad on the normalizing pass.

Cheers!
RoRK
