She did not resist or scream for help, perhaps shes too drunk?
If shes drunk, there would be a stronger case for molest.

Aiya.. the world is full of shit la. All over america/japan/UK/europe, in all these 'civlized' and larger states much worse things happen.

Singapore just happens to have a smaller population and has a more conservative culture thus things like this actually makes heads turn. ( Just look at the STOMP campers and you will get what im saying. )

Locals or not everyone is HUMAN. So lets flush out the stereotype of them being foreigners. What if it were 4 of your friends and they were a mix of local and foreigners? You think people actually care? No. Their face would still be on STOMP/here.

The idea was that nobody helped because the Hermorphodite/alien actually appeared to bask in the moment. Suffice to say also it was a beach party. Since there were no cries for help i dont think anyone saw the need to do anything apart from watch.

It is true that SG is full of keyboard warriors/bystanders who dont want to 'kaypo'. But does this really apply to the scene here? The alien apparently didnt mind that and possibly that was the reason no one helped her? Was that considered apart from lamenting on the poor SG attitude?

Maybe she was too drunk. But if she was too drunk where were her friends? Do you guys go to a beach party on NYE alone? Or were her friends all pissed drunk? Or maybe everyone else was too pissed drunk so they didnt help her apart from the 4 men. Maybe even the bouncers were pissed drunk for some reason too?

Sure it does. But still, happening everyday doesn't mean it should be normal, it should mean that we have to be more careful, and warn our pals to be more careful.
 
Not trying to be scientific and all but I believe the possible cause of this incident is due to a social phenomena called the "Bystander Effect".

From Wiki:
"The bystander effect is the somewhat controversial name given to a social psychological phenomenon in cases where individuals do not offer help in an emergency situation when other people are present. The probability of help has in the past been thought to be inversely proportional to the number of bystanders; in other words, the greater the number of bystanders, the less likely it is that any one of them will help."

This discovery came about because of the murder of Kitty Genovese. She was raped and stabbed to death even though 38 bystanders heard her cries for help.
