Gibson Les Paul Prices Going Up

+1 to whitestart!!! How often you see people saying ' i want that IBANEZ sound?' its always that TELE TWANG or Gibson MOJO.

That's my only gripe about Ibanez... you're supposed to tweak and create that character... The typical Ibanez doesn't have its own tone...IMO

I'm eying a Stagg flying-V now. GAS attack!

Most Ibanez players would go for a more modern sound..
Plus their thin thin thin necks, many shredders would of course fancy and ibanez..

but other than just serving as a guitar, it could serve as an investment right?

I heard that the value of a Gibson guitar appreciates over time... Like those vintage models are in the tens of thousands.

LOL. damn those drug dealers are quite creative. have to give it to them...

well... we could always kill 2 birds with 1 stone. invest while getting a good guitar... why not?

IMO lar at least

zax has good sources.

hehe no wonder zax has good sources.
he bought everything from ebenex or his dad's clients!
haha
good move there.

anyway, yea ebenex is a great place. i went there once but i'm impressed with what i see.
it's too bad i live far from there. long bus trips (i hate the mrt). doesn't matter much as long as i got my mp3 with me!

Actually, ther IS a certain sound to Ibanezes. I always equate Paul Gilbert and Steve Vai as the key representatives of that sound. Today, listen to bands like Korn and Evanescence, and that huge rhythm wall is very much an Ibanez thing to me. It's big and loose. Big and tight ate LPs. Small and loose are fenders. Big and loose are Ibanez... And that kind of tone defintely has it's uses...

But that's to me anyways...

pardon my ignorance

but arent the MIA fenders pretty expensive too?

its only the MIJ and MIM ones that are more affordable isnt it?

i never really bothered looking at fender prices :b

wah kevin., like that arh. like that. insult my fender some more. hahaha,

MIA fenders are getting more affordable btw...

aye? i read somewhere they decreased in price. the normal american series.

whoops. im wrong then.

I'd buy 2nd hand, but only if its in very good condition. Buying a new instrument arh... Never know how the price rises every year.

USD50 is around SGD100... Ouch, so a Fender MIA Tele at 1.5K goes to 1.6K. Marvelous. Just when I was thinking of getting one...

heh. all those people with expensive guitars

are your guitars kept in pristine condition?

because i was thinking that it's inevitable to get a small ding here and there if you gig quite often. (unless your the type that stones on stage)

mmmhmm any comments?
