Gibson and Slash

I'm planning on slapping an EBMM neck on a Jackson guitar body once the finances are in order. I love the way those things feel :mrgreen:.

Sorry to disappoint man... It won't fit. EBMMs use a 5 bolt construction. AND you got to make a hole for the truss rod wheel.:twisted:

LOL.. But seriously every guitar has their merits.. I for one believe in giving every guitar a chance.. I for one HATE the look of a tele.. But I overcame that, tried it, and MAN the tone blew me away!
From now on, I don't mind playing a tele, just don't make me look down at the guitar.. Hahaha..

well, all i can say. if a person isn't pretty i can still love her, if she's beautiful.
same goes for a guitar, of course looks still do play a factor. tone on the other hand is an entirely different thing. a sexy tone makes the guitar sexy. :twisted:

yes bro , exactly hahaha , i hate to admit this but an ibanez plays damn well but you'll never catch me live with one hahahaha or find one in my collection

well i find gibsons kinda overpriced. Rather get an ibanez for the same price as a gibson anyday.

for me its fender...personally i am a super vintage loving junkie and i feel dat the fender designs has a much stronger vibe of nostalgia to it..it looks futuristic yet vintage haha esp the colour!!!! seafoam green all the way!!!

I think that watching someone I idolise play a certain guitar does have an effect on my perspective of the guitar itself. I remember last time when I was a huge slipknot fan. I was pretty nuts about Mick Thomson's guitar, a bc rich. And so. . . I got myself a Bc Rich Special Edition Bich Archtop. Haha. It ain't the best. But yea, it does the job. And I think that there isn't much difference between the Slash sig and a les paul standard other than the pickups and cosmetics. I guess it's marketing.

and it helps that guitar players I looked up to as a boy (still do) plays one..slash, perry, neal schon etc...

I'm sure there tons of better guits ard... theres no qn to that.

in any case.. I;ve changed alnico pups to my les paul .. I'm happy.

That said, after trying so many LPs, the Gibby USA Slash model (non custom shop) is probably the ONLY LP I'd part money for... It's really nice actually, and sounds and plays the best of what I've tried out there in the market.

Oh... and calling Slash a has been is like labelling EVH one too.
