im looking for replacements for my tokai lp.. the stock are quite prone to feedback.. i think its the vintage design.

don't replace....just pot them as you having a bad case of microphony !!

how to DIY

1. One glass bottle with an opening wide enough for a pickup
2. One pot that is bigger than the bottle.
3. Get that cheap cheap tea light, 100 pc for only $3++ at Ikea
4. Grab all the wax and remove the wick and aluminium holder
5. Boil water in the pot.
6. Turn down the flame and put the bottle of wax in the hot water.
7. Let the wax melt till clear.
8. Tie the pickup wire to a chopstick and then dip the whole pickup into the molten wax. Place the chopstick on top the bottle.
9. Let it soak till you stop seeing bubbles coming out from the pickup.
10. take it out and put on a piece of paper and let it cool.

CAUTION: Beware of molten wax!!! Flammable and will cause burns.

beezwax + parafin = best combo

no flaking and the wax remains soft with the added parafin... nice pleasant parfum so no complains from wife or other household members !!

Use of a double boiler is a must ....see Ed's notes!!
