GHS String Cleaning Cloth

Hey guys,
Here's something that I recently purchased and thought it pretty nifty. Its just some specially treat cloth that supposed to clean your strings well and MAN! I just took a wipe today and the cloth came away blackened. The nickle wound bass strings were all shiny again! Of course, the steel strings what were oxided, stayed black but free from rust, felt very smooth to the touch.

You guys might want to check it out for around $5 a piece (quite a big piece) and I got mine at Yamaha Tampines Mall.

I've used it before. Pretty good , can last a few restrings. Sure does help extend string life and keeps the strings grime free.

if you apply string cleaning fluid on a suitable plain cloth & wipe your strings down after play, you'll see the accumulated dirt on the cloth too. the fluid & the above-mentioned cloth shares some cleaning properties/ chemicals.

eh.. all these cloths are once used black, throw away 1 ah? or can throw in washing machine, den reuse? =D

I don think so bah..I mean if it has cleaning chemicals in the cloth it will be washed away. It would jus become a normal cloth

I washed the cloth , dry and resued. Sure the chemical compounds will be washed away, aside that, you'll still have a string cloth. :)

Does it make the strings yucky to the touch like the fast fret (IMO, dun flame me) ?

Pier.

i tried the Fast Fret only once, i guess i dislike that waxy feeling after application...

string cleaning fluids are alcohol based, they dry up after use.
