I have sweaty palms that come on strong in air-con rooms so pulling through each individual string after playing is a must. It's then followed by a 2nd pull through with dr. wax oiled orange clothe or lemon oil, mainly to keep the strings slightly 'oiled'.
It's then stored in a gator hard-case then before each new playing, strings are pulled through with a dry orange cloth and tuned accordingly. A bit like cleaning your weapon in army
Sounds troublesome? A little. But im sure your love of guitar and music overrides all these mild inconveniences. I use Curt Mangan strings that go easy on the wallet, typically changing 1 packet per 3 weeks to 5 weeks.
