recently removed my Ibanez SZ2020 bridge to see what the 'tone block' underneath looks like. it's a massive metal block, nothing too special but believeably, it helps to promote sustain. it's nothing new as Yamaha did it with their SG2000 but judging by the looks of it, the latter manufacturer features a different block material. ibanez might have just copied this idea from them for all we know... 8)

That IS interesting.... now you can further alter the tone of your SZ by swapping that block with a Brass block, or Titanium block!

Now.. to find a block that big....

ahahaha.love the colour.it looks great like the gibson sg special faded which i don think spore has.wanted it but couldn find.settled down for an ebony sg standard in the end.tsk.but im not complaining.AHAHAHAH.

MrE: any chance of seeing how you strap your RG321 up close? have a feeling you've done it incorrectly... just checking ok? no offence...

sweet 321, i really love string through bridge. im considering betweeen rgt42dxfx and rg321.

rgt42dxfx offers neck through body, where as rg321 offer a bolt on one. and sharkfin inlays vs dot inlays. pickups doesnt matter since i going to change. anyway even if its a fix bridge, i still need to get f-spaced pickups right? hmm tought decision. dot inlays looking boring something, sharkfin do look abit cheesy sometimes hmm . . . ..

thanks for the warm welcome, this is my first Ibanez (maybe not the last, depending whether that RGT42DXFX makes it here or not)

no offence taken. here is a closeup of the planet waves locking strap i am using, if i have put it on incorrectly, pls point it out, never used these locking straps before. Thanks!

P.S. me thinking of dumping a pair of Dimarzios in my RG321 in the not too distant future, prob a Tonezone and Air Norton as many have suggested before
