mamemo: theblueark answered it for me :)

theblueark: haha there are other units around that costs more "holy" than just the booster i've got. My Clyde Deluxe was a bday present from my gf though, if not for her i might not have considered getting a wah yet

Lucky guy you are!

she got sister not? maybe can squeeze myself a pedal or two out of her as well...

just kidding ok, bro

lol, no sis. bro can? I just got a very unexpected and nice present, that's all. No tugging around to make her buy, look at Grain's acoustic....it was a precious gift from his wife also hehe.

Anyway, i've told her not to spend like this liao....really gave me a shock.

Now waiting for chanmin to post up all his axes also, that bugger got many new addition within a span of 2 months

hi peeps. does the gt2 cut thru in the mix with another guitarist?? or juz sounds niec when playin alone??

i think there are too many variables to consider here to properly answer your query:

1) what guitar/pickups you have
2) what guitar/pickups your other guitarist has
3) amp you're using
4) amp your other guitarist is using
5) settings you have on the GT2

perhaps you can ask if the GT2 can give you the kinda tone you are looking for. In which case, what is the tone you are looking for?

just showing some pics of my ValBee. note the FX loop, the tubes are Chinese. it's a closed-back unit, i undid the cover to show you the tubes in there. i'm simply very happy with it 8)

i'm doing a full review on this, but here's the bits:

Tone:
*warm tube tone, nothing too muddy, thanks to the 6L6/ 12AX7 combo
*lacking in serious bass- expected as the default driver is a mere 8"
*gets driven very easily
*very acceptable cleans (IMO better than the Laney LC15's)

managed to plug the amp into my Marshall cab (2X12")- the bigger drivers help accentuate the bass response.

can't help but compare this amp to Laney LC15 but at an $800 price difference between them, the ValBee is a definite value-for-$$ tube amp to date.

wow sub, nice amp. the tube, the wallet friendly price, the effects loop..is very tempting. Oh no I am GASing!! Like hydesg, i oso wanna know how it sounds for recording.
