frequently used tunings

just wondering what you softies usually put your tunings at your guitars.

to start off I frequently have mine at dropped C and sometimes tuned down to 1 step.
cause its Killswitch Engage man \m/ and maybe some Bullet For My Valentine.

dudes share your tuning preferences and maybe those who have custom tunings.

ebgdae- coz when i was a noob, i read this was the right way, so i use it till now

cgdaeg- after i learn how to play c chord, A chord, g chord, someone told me this is consider the "new standard tuning" as conclude by someone named Robert fripp. This tuning make me feel like re learning guitar again

never tuned and not in tuned guitar aka random tuning- this one is my own setup. No one can play over it without going crazy. I used it for anything that doesnt want to be right, sound right, thereotically right, technically right or politically right, right.

i use standard E tuning and dropped D most of the time. Too lazy to do other drop tunings. Anyone tried the tuning for 'screaming infidelities' by secondhand serenade? I tuned the first 2, go damn sick and tired then gave up. Hehehehe.

If you talk about wierd, I find Goo Goo Dolls tuning wierd....

But yeah, my guitar always on D ... a whole step down. Or maybe just half step down. Been too long since we've gone to Standard tuning.

G tuning is nice (DGDGBD). Three strings in the middle are the same as normal tuning so you still got lots of chord shapes that work.

eh dime, u can find out yourself. just find the highest note of the song and the lowest note of the song. Den figure out if its a downtuned 6 string or 7 string.

Heh.. i noob.. only can tune major 2nd down... D F Bb Eb G D... did it for the convenience instead of transposing every freakin power metal song up.. power metal is already high enough.. not very enthusiastic about killing my vocalist. haha

Oh.. its that weird cos i spent the whole day playing bass clarinet and was damn tired.. haha.. i counted from 2 key steps suddenly to 2 tones then back to 2 key steps.. haha... it's suppose to be like D G C F A D

yeah got to agree with eugene.floyd rose are such a trouble.tune one and all goes out.especially if you wanna go from somewhere standard to down 1 step or those slipknot kinda tuning.

my guitar is always in drop D or Db. recently AADGBE
