i get fuming mad when people look down on aucostic music when they say that electronic music is everything to music.

hi DoubleBlade

But i dont see any of the above post mentioning that electronic music in everything?

Well, anyway. Remember http://www.clayderman.co.uk ? He was my Maksim.

Any luck with finding the guitar teacher?

wad i need to worry about now is getting a job.i've been 2 months jobless.tried applying at restaurants and hotels but only to receive empty promises because i have no experience at all since i've juz finish my O level and waiting for results now.u know i wanted to attend this course on piano tuning but it kinda cost a bomb probably like 60 bucks per lesson? haha...kinda expensive eh? but once i'm thru wif the course i'm sure i can do some freelance piano tuning and charge heavily discounted rates to compete wif those big time piano companies to my "potential customers" since i'm so sure dat piano tuning is a dying trade in singapore but in huge demand and someone's gotta do it right? =)
so first priority on my mind now is getting a part time job before the academic year for La Salle SIA actually begins.once i'm stable wif a job den i'll go for guitar lessons on flamenco music but right now i'm juz collecting as many contacts as i can for flamenco teachers around the island. =)

hey i'm currently looking for a Guitar teacher who specialises in Flamanco music and techniques. Any recommendations?
My former guitar teacher, Henry Ho, from Yamaha, used to play a bit of Flamenco.

yeahhhh how i wish if i could hear more blistering guitar solos wif spanish influence in it one day? hmmm...maybe yngwie malmsteen should try experimenting wif spanish music. lol..since in my point of view , he is the most "advanturous" in terms of exploration of different kinds of music in G3 as compared to joe and steve. =)

Yngwie the most adventurous?
I hope you were being sarcastic when you said that.
Nah, you most probably were :)

if you listen to metal, then you obviously have not heard of Ark. Tore Obtsy playing has a lot of flamenco influence but I don't see any dancing or gay part in it.

listen to this, and listen to the whole song

http://www.helvetes.net/arksite/ARK_JustALittle.mp3

this just proves that music is universal. From something that sounds spanish it turns to metal and there is no change at all in any of the keys. It is how creative you are to make that change. I am also very interested to learn flamenco after listening to this song. It rocks

Ny friend, which part of that song sounds like metal to you?
Ok, maybe the instrumental part that starts at 3:02.

nope...seriously i think yngwie has a unique style of playing.i dunno how to describe it but when i first was introduced to G3 music , he was the first one out of the 3 who really grabbed my attention.he's music seems to be very "melodic" i guess.he does a lot of scaling on the guitar in fact correct me if im wrong but dat he's trademark rite? overall i juz find he's music very unique....he even plays classical songs wif electric guitar sounds

ok...i respect your opinion.
but really, when guitar fans describe Malmsteen, 'adventurous' and 'experimental' aren't the adjectives used. Quite the contrary actually.

no offence.

nah it's okay...i agree wif ur point.my frens hate malmsteen in fact!!!! he's ugly and fat and they call him a fat F**k but nonetheless who cares if he's fat and ugly rite? wad matter most is his music he produces on stage... 8)

From 3:37 to 3:57, it is the same as the intro. If that is not heavy stuff, I do not know what is. That was the transformation I was mentioning about. That song was the best example because it was drastic. Get the album and hear other flamenco influence abundance in it. That album is definitely metal in my book.
