nonetheless they have made it the way they want it to be so thats good for them. As a consumer i say i dont like means I DONT LIKE! y u all defend so much, havent u all been reading what i mentioned. We have the right to say what we want. You like them, OK we got it. But we're just expressing our opinions so that ronin will be a better band. Ya mr teacher over there has mentioned some good points abt how ronin has made an impact in the music scene in singapore. I think thats enough for defense. But Ronin like wannabe "Guns & Roses". So id say try and find a more original style and sound.

anyway, in case you missed certain parts of my 'lecture', i don't like their music and we actually have the same opinion about their less than definitive sound. but just because i don't like their music doesn't mean that i pour scorn on everything they do. similarly, just because i give them credit for some of the things that they have done, doesn't mean that i like them. hope we're clear on that.

but you're right, you're entitled to your opinions and likewise, the rest of us. we're not disrespecting you by stating a different view, we're just simply stating a different view. so don't take it personally, please. this is a forum afterall.

It's fair not to like something. That's everyone's prerogative. But in good spirits, we should at least try to be constructive with our comments.

Anything less is nothing but negative vibes - a lose-lose situation.

I think Ronin's singer is really good - as a singer (voice and improvisation). I don't know him personally but he has some worthwhile talent. The rest of the band are too far behind him in the talent category.

As for their sell-out attitude, I can't say one way or another but I was turned off to see Fiona's photo taking center billing in the photo shoot. That speaks volumes about who's in charge and who's bigger. I mean, if you're in rock'n'roll, then you must have big balls. There's no other way.

If Ronin did a cameo in some mediacorpse show and thery got second billing in terms of headline and photo-shoot then that's fine. But for a song???

I doubt that they'll go further than where they currently are with their current lineup. Just too weak, musically.

But good luck to them anyways. Better listening to them than dickie lee and a bitch in the garden or tanya chua. Those are really and truly the blackhole in as far as Singapore music is concerned.
