Now,why on earth do the emo kids want to fight back?arent they worried that:

1.It might mess their hair up
2.All that eyeliner gets smudged
3.They wont be having razor cuts but huge slashes instead(come to think of it,they might like it)
4.Someone would make fun of their MCR's and leave them scurrying away to the nearest loo to cry their hearts out

and finally....

5.The goths will be watching at one nice corner,stifling a laugh watching these watered down copycats making a huge fools out of themselves
 
truth is, look at the emos around you. 80% are just fashion addicts who dress like one and not even emotional... We call that, 'ACT'. Where as the 20% live up to the word, 'emo'. And true emos don't dress like one... They keep a very low-profile of themselves.
I'm happy the metalheads, punks and goths are against emo scene kids. Reason is probably through the music they listen to...and the dressing.
Emo's dressing is a combination of all 3 cultures... Goth (eyeliners), Punk (copy the real Punk music and fuse it with nonsensical sounds...), Metal (all black theme, and hardcore music which emos always mistook them for metal when they aren't at all...)...
Go observe it.

yes, boy george is gay. but so what? the music counts.

and goths might join in too. just for the hell of it. these flip f**king copycats have been copying for too long and ruining the whole goth image.

I thought the Brit-pop indie scenesters were as well. Fer f uck's sake, who the hell wear Parka jackets in Singapore?!?!
 
no. those are just the more obvious ones. most goths dont even bother dressing up.
goth is a lifestyle way, leaning more to the intellectual side. and the slightly darker and more arcane side of things.

actually most of everything works like that.its all about the inside.cause it counts the most.some random can dress like a metalhead but deep inside he know nothing about metal.
 
it seems that those tr00ly EMO do not visit this forum at all otherwise i wouldve noticed someone non-ironically standing up to articulate their right to be emo and lovelovelovelove us all etc etc etc..............

and if so many ppl here already can't stand emo kids, feysen, muzik etc..........where are the emos where? or are we all secretly emos self-hating cursing ourselves in this thread while behind our screens, crying into our keyboards?

There is no such thing as 'true' emo..

Emo is what MTV calls music with sad lyrics, they bought and branded a certain sound. The so called 'emo' that we all know, or think we know today. Most 'emo' today is actually just post-hardcore.

Emo is SUPPOSED to be emotional hardcore, hardcore being hardcore punk, emotional meaning deep, introspective and often sad lyrics. And back during that time people playing emo-core were still considered punks.

Anyone can wear black, anyone can wear eyeliner, anyone can go to peninsula to get a band shirt. Its just an image, at the end of the day only the music and lifestyle counts.

And its bullshit to say emo is stealing your scene, whats so scary about a bunch of anorexics who act sad and wear shirts with hearts, blood, guns or knives :P
