Fernandes sustainer system routing

Whats the routing like?

I'm custom ordering a guitar and i plan to install it on, but don't really have the cash flow now.

Do I need to configure my specs to suit the routing?

Or is it suitable for any guitar?

Yes you have. From my understanding, there's an extra flip switch to 'activate' the sustainer. I'm not sure whether it's possible to configure it in a 'push/pull-knob' so it can be used with the tone or volume hence eliminating extra routing.

Oh and there's also a battery to 'power' it so keep in mind 8)

Maybe some other members would like to help out :?:

He made an effort to ask. Maybe his new/green. I don't find it stupid. Maybe he just needs clarification. At least it's not one of those stupid O/T threads - 'Which song do you like' bullshit . This is a gear forum. We're here to help each other out. 8)

dude ...did you see the last phrase
"or maybe need that special attention only we can give !!!"
Lots of info on 'Routing' your guitar is available on the net ....there is even a spot-on installation manual on the fernandes site.. here
so whats the deal ??
...do you know we paid for info like that ....
Next time i will just post "Pay me $$ i will do it for u" ...i will be a rich man !!

whats the features on this delay? Seem like having combination of various good features on different delay pedals. Any expression pedal controlled parameter?

I didn't put the expression pedal options at all, because I could not figure out how I would put it to use. I tend to use delay to wet the sound and thats it.

For this delay, its called the Sandwich Echo, a heavily zhng-ed Danelectro PB&J Echo.

Basically it has the following:
- up to 4 seconds of delay ( original had 1 sec, > 2secs u get veyr lo fi delays)
- hold (going to try to use this)
- osciliate/slam (also going to try to use this)
- 2 x delay controls footswitchable (delay time/repeats/level) (original only had 1 set)
- Hi cut / Low Cut tone knob for each delay setting (2 x knobs)
- Red button cuts all delay times by 3/5

I figured I woudl use 2 delay settings, 1 for mild wet/reverbish kind of stuff or fast solos... and 1 long delay setting for slow sustained solos.

Oh its true bypassed too. Kind of complusory.

Don't you know Collin from http://www.experimentalistsanonymous.com/ ? He did the parallel universe.

He has a BOAT LOAD of extra mods for the Sandwich Echo... i didn't take any expression pedal controlled parameters (which he can do to any control), pitch shifting repeats, efx loop, like... anything you can think of lah.

the features great for tweaker and sound manipulation it seem.

I was just wondering bout the exp pedal control coz with delay, the hands free control of the various parameters are pretty useful imho.

yeah, know the site, but seldom surf by there. But i think he is one of the interesting guys doing stuff around.

i think with this delay, you can do lotsa things other then for soloing. Nice features i must say

I really didn't know what else to add, its not THAT cheap too. :D

U can add all the expression pedals u want. :)

I'm going to try to immerse myself slowly into this world of delays. For this project, the only "experimental" things are the hold and slam functions... just wanted a nice delay delay pedal. One day I'll try tap tempos and what nots...

I really hope so. This is one of those, never tried, never seen a physical piece, never heard more than 2 samples (of which I dunno how it was recorded) and I never seen the final design/layout of the pedal till it was done.

How cool is that? :D

You're sarcasm didn't helped. What about the other phrases above? Didn't you read that??? Lot's of info especially here in Soft that's why the dude is asking.

Thinking about money eh?! Well if it suits you then go ahead. Won't argue. I'm here hoping to learn new things and contribute relevant and useful info. Maybe crack a joke once in awhile. Not here to suck out people's money though. That's just me 8)
