hey thanks for all the useful info you have given so far, im just curious on how it compares to a std american strat in the following departments
1. pickup quality
2. playability
3. basic hardware like the bridge and tuners
im not really looking for a guitar actually, but i think that if it can hold up or at least come close to the american std series, at 700, its time to get i think.
my esp kh2 has been treatin me well so far but i think single coils would be nice for a change. thanks for the help again!
btw, ive heard something about the pickups being non noise cancelling so there will be a little hum when position 2 and 4 on the selector is being used. fact of fiction?

the H1 gets compared to the American Series- inevitable. btw, the 'American Std' tag was superseded by the 'American Series' in 2001...
no, the H1 isn't tonally similar to the Am Series. the pickups of the latter aren't as wide open as the H1's. also, the H1's single coils have lesser output & the pickup combination by default aren't humbucking in any selections. the neck of the H1 is the closest to the Am Series simply because they were from the discontinued 'American Std'.

the sale is strictly @ the bras basah showroom. didn't see those amps there today- not a good sign if you have high hopes for it...
ask them if they still have those amps in stock. if they do & it's a confirmed purchase, ask them to bring it to the showroom for you.

i went there at abt 7 at saturday , no amps on sale ...
no offence here bro subversion , maybe i was late that day or sumthing. but the sale dosent seem like a big sale. i was sorta expecting swee lee to be jammed pack , full of people and the main floor area chock full of fender models for sale...
sadly ... all they had were 2 basses and 2 guitars and a sad little WORDART picture that says :
fender sale! 2 for one offer

din c any amps , din c the mustang ( mayb sold out)
in anycase
i saw them unpacking ibanezes , NEW ibanezes fresh in from warehouse. ibanez amps and guitars i tihnk .. mayb a ibanez sale in weeks to come ?
