Favourite Overdrive Pedal?

Rather contradictory la both your statements. Hmm. So you can get your tones from it but its a one trick pony? :)
.

oh yar.. what AM i talking? i guess i only use it for that thats why... i need to play with it again, its been quite sometime since i returned that pedal to my friend..

Woohooo tubescreamer, a fellow BARBER FAN!!!! KUDOS TO U!!! Just a small question, how is the Barber custom cool treating u?

Haha hello to you too!

The Custom Cool is my dedicated low-gainer right now. It's basically a LTD SR with more tweaks i.e. the dynamics knob and the different EQ curves etc. Be warned that it is VERY low gain though, it's maximum gain is probably 1/4 that of the Small Fry, for instance. I highly recommend it because it is really tweakable and you're sure to find something that sounds good, be it chords or single note leads/riffs. The availability of numerous adjustable parameters is why I'm a Barber fanboy :)

Waoh sounds cool mate haha! It is one pedal that i didnt really understand but u have enlighten me, thanx. Btw have u tried the LTD silver before, cause i see that it is missing from ur collection since it is a kickass discontinued model and instant collector's item.

I also see that u have the DDSS reissue, how does it stack up against the original DDSS?

Nope, I haven't tried the LTD Silver before. How similar is it to the LTD SR?

My DD is actually a Custom Shop Mod Board model, I merely switched out the knobs ($2 each at TYMC). Haha.

fav 2 drives.

My modded Barber DD. Added treble and presence and bass based on dave barbers web.

Maxon OD9 Analogman Silverscrew mod. Sweetest booster and low gain od.

...similar circuits with the Maxon having more hair .....

The Maxon usually gets moded to 808 spec ....popular request... ime!

My main OD that i adore "for now" is the digitech hardwire CM2 tube overdrive.
2nd in line that i use for mild to clean boost is the "cheap" danelectro TOD. works like a charm
:)

Well the LTD silver is like the bastard child and malcolm in the middle of the standard LTD and SR

Although not as transparent as the SR, what i like most is that it is more transparent than the standard LTD, less middy and yet retaining much of the grit and grind of the standard (something that some SR owners complained abt). Besides the tonal qualities, i love its subtle tone stack (a specialty only in the silver) cause everywhere seems to have a sweet spot! As for the insides it still has the standard bass and presence trim pots but i tend to just leave the setting stock, the way i love it

It is a pity that the LTD silver is already discontinued cause it is really a gem that is often overlooked.........haiz.

OD808 isnt really a 808 clone per se....its circuit is closer to the ibanez TS10(the dodgy looking fella with pcb mounted jacks and plastic housing)

actually, i used to play with one of those (TS10) which gives me quite some cool tones...

anyways, so far quite a fair bit of pedals been mention... what happened to the other ones? like the Eternity, Landgraff OD... anyone tried the Bjfe Honey Bee OD?

an overdrive addict... but i think ive recovered......

in no particular order.

Analogman King of Tone
Analogman TS808
and a particular Rapture im yet to grab hold of.
