hi all, nvr seen anyone here sharing abt their jrock passion... so thought would make this.

plz share ur fav jrock songs here!!! mine has to be "over..." by 12012. its a great song with rly aspiring lyrics. :)

stay away has a brilliant bassline, one of the first l'arc basslines i HAD to HAD to learn.

EH. I just realised that they're playing Kasou during the break! Sounds damn different.

Do you know about P'unk~en~Ciel?
 
Been many moons since I listened to japanese stuff but here goes:

Judy and Mary - Kyoto/Radio/Hitotsudake/tonnes of other of their stuff
Shiina Ringo - Gibbs
Gackt - Saikai Story
 
looks like the old bands rly left a huge impression. afterall they r still the more experienced bunch not like the new ones. haha. :)

i didnt kno there was a p'unk~en~ciel. tts cool. i kinda liked malice mizer when they r in the gackt era. pink spider by hide is a nice song too... its rearranged by a new band called rize. interestingly, pink spider made its debut after hide passed away. so its kinda like hide's last song.

It's hide, not Hyde. Hyde is vocalist of L'Arc~en~Ciel. There was also a tribute album for hide called 'hide Tribute Spirits', where various Jrock bands covered hide's songs.

One of the newer generation (although not really that recent) Jrock bands that got me hooked is MUCC.

Yup. His name in full is Hideto Matsumoto. But fans address him as hide (note the lower case) as a mark of respect since his death.
