Fake epiphone!!

LOL. Some companies tend to show favouritism... Haha. Like epiphone, there's the les paul custom, les paul standard plus, les paul standard plain and the elitist series... Of course, the main reason is because the you are paying different price.

epi les paul special 2 rocks man.
its a lower end guitar. but the quality is there.
i paid 260 for it... but compared to some other guitars, its really worth the money.

Hi, just to make it clear... lucky *if you know who he is... he's another softie who sells quite a number of Epiphones from Indonesia.. I'm getting a Les Paul Custom from him on Tuesday..* said that the Samick factory in Indonesia has already changed the serial number since June 2008.. The serial numbers without the factory code. 'eg. SI, U and etc.' So, it's just the direct serial number itself.. But it's pretty much legit... Like the one I'm soon getting from lucky it's serial number is 0808230453 and it's of course a newly made model since it's made just this year...

Anyway there have been lots of forum topics on forums about Fake Epiphones... But I find that the information they give isn't so accurate... some stating that the only "genuine" Epiphone guitars 'Epiphone' logo's letter 'H' has too tilted abit to right and such... But if you take a look at the Epiphone's official website photos the 'Epiphone' logo's letter 'H' is just nicely placed aligning near the center of the headstock tip shape... *I hope you guys get what I'm saying though...*

Oh yeah, has anybody bought any of lucky's products?? I would love to hear a personal experience and review from a person who bought it from him... *I'm buying the Epiphone Les Paul Custom (Ebony) from lucky :D*

Pardon me for hijacking this thread, but would like to enquire, does Epip Indonesia produce and sell Epiphone Casino there? If so is it cheaper to get it there? Heh! Thanks!

erm.. eh does anyone noe what are the epiphones model made in indonesia? and WHERE is the factory in Indonesia? maybe i could somedae go there n get one for myself!! haha

Well... Epiphone Indonesisa does sell quite a number of models such as the Epiphone Les Paul Special II, Standard, Custom, Wildkat and etc. But for the pricing is much cheaper compared to the China ones...

In 1992, Samick built its P.T. Samick factory in Cilesungi, near Bogor, Indonesia. So basically, it's wood and labour are by the Indonesian; while the machines and quality control are done by the Koreans (as Samick is a Korean-based musical instrument manufacturer, one of the largest in the world.) But, I've only tried so far only two Indonesian-made Les Pauls which are the Epiphone Les Paul Special II and Standard Plus Top... But, so far it's not so bad... the build is quite good and the paint job is also quite excellent except for some very minor flaws... But, so far it's good and very affordable...

Anyway, I'll get my Epiphone Les Paul Custom on Tuesday from lucky (which is made in Indonesia; Samick factory) and I'll maybe give you guys a review or maybe more of a personal account of the guitar... But, I'll start a thread on it soon :D... and very sorry for hijacking this thread...
