Fake epiphone!!

tanx for the fast replys..its just that im unsure..bcoz of the epiphone non-pearly effect on the headstock and the serial numbers..i did a little research.theres epiphones factories in indonesia.but if it was made there,it would have the serial starting from SI..mine are all just numbers.10 numbers to be exact.0806237367..if anyone have an epiphone les paul special 2,or u noe more bout this stuff,do reply back.tanx for all the replies mate.

i got the epiphone special II MIC. the serial number starts with SJ and 8 numbers at the back.

bro, i'm a big epiphone fan, so from wad i see, its legitimate, meaning original. however, at $200, i dun blame u for raising an alarm, cos imo, its way cheap for a epiphone of this make. unless you bought it second hand.

tanx again for the replies..i didnt mean to cause an alarm.my bet.maybe i got panic bcoz of the recent fake gibson,epiphones guitars that came out in the net..if i was a rich guy,even after buying fake epis and gibbys,i cld still afford to buy a new original gibson or the latest epiphone model..but im just a working class guy from a low income family.so even 200 bucks means a lot to me.maybe guys who are in the same situation like me wld understand.just wanted to make sure my hard earned money was well spent.to some ppl,200 is nothing..but remember,not everyone was born with a Silver spoon in their mouth..btw tanx once again..

it was made in indonesia.but the serial number was imprinted not on the headstock.but on the metal plate joining the neck to the body.

Epiphones are made in Indonesia too.

And the serial number is supposed to be on the metal plate for bolt-on Epiphones, not the headstock.

epiphone make good guitars IMO, and sometimes their models are even better than their gibson counterparts..

currently lusting after the les paul custom prophecy with EMGs.....ooooh yeah that ones a headbanger.

damn the les paul with emgs are really good for playing metal. i tried ascendancy by trivium and the part where theres the metal breakdown sounds killer.

yeah the explorer it plays good.....but doesnt really look like an explorer at the neck area there.

if i could i would buy the epi goth explorer and drop EMG 81/85s into it and it will rock the metal dominion. my friend has it (without the emgs but the stock ones..). sounds great tho.

does it come with any paper or any certificate of authentication or even warranty?? probably if you have the pic it would be good. anyway for me $200 is too cheap for a good and comfortable playing guitar. you get what you paid for man...

the goth explorer....nice...but the neck of the futura really got me going. first time i touch it, got the FEEL. what to do. nothing can stop me now :twisted: havent tried the lespaul prophecy though. heh i've always loved lespauls with low output pickups, so the prophecy ones dont really attract me.
