extremely bad news

but seriously, at least this forces everyone to train their ears better.. oh, is it really impossible to shred without tabs? i had no idea.. I never shred..

Personally, I think it's a matter of time where they move all such sites to Russia where they can't sue em. UG is still up last I heard. Capitalism in the US showing itself in the most ugly manner IMO.

well you make signboards and wear white colour t-shirts draw some stuff about the protest on it and wear some band on your head.Gather supporters and just head to a crowded place and protest  or you can even start rioting but i wouldnt advice that, unless you wana get busted by the police.

but this is the only way musicians who write songs/music survive. if their work are used without remuneration such as illegal mp3 or transcription then what do they earn for a living?

we pay $200 for a guitar
we pay $200 for a mobile phone
we pay $100 for a pair of sports shoes

i am sure we can pay $30 for a song book

What about those artists who don't have tab books? In the first place they seem to be fighting for the 'artist's living' when they themselves are eating the money.

they want to make it legal. in fact, they will be more than happy to sell music scores online as long as the whole process is legalised. artistes get paid, publisher get paid, arranger get paid ....

how much are you willing to pay for an online music score? $10? $5 $3?

these are users' interpretations of a song.

would it then be illegal for somebody to teach someone else a song?

are you going to arrest me for playing smoke on the water on a kapok acoustic guitar at the void deck because I'm depriving Deep Purple of making a living?

anyway we should all try to use our ears more. early shredders didn't use tabs, I believe they would have figured out the keys and scales and experimented until they got them right.

in my opinion, artists BENEFIT from having interpretations of their lyrics and tabs online. How many of you have heard a little bit of a song somewhere and googled bits of the lyrics to identify it? I've been introduced to so many bands this way that I wouldn't have heard about without.

Similarly a person who has never heard a song by so&so, but learns and loves a song from a tab, will want to get the artist's actual work.

I think Mr. Lauren's just pissed with the world cause his parents gave him a girl's name.

yeah lol most probably...

how much are we willing to pay for tabs? $3!?!?!

we pay at most $2 to d/l a song leagally online... $3 for tabs and lyrics?

some music books are cheap like $20 and all but the content inside is so lil... and whats more... its a BOOK where by mayne songs are inside... people might only wanna learn a song or 2, now that doesn't justify buying a whole $20 book for it right?

and whats more... some books are $50... esp that of more famous artists like DT... which is good... cuz i've taking a look inside that and see lots of good and acurate content... but then again.. who wants to learn every single DT song?

this doesnt make sense to me. dont most tabbers figure out the tabs by themselves? isnt it their intellectual property.
