its supposedly made by fender, which i kinda find it weird coz fender doesnt do high gain stuff.

anyway it has 3 channels :o, dunno if thats gonna be a hit or miss, coz the 5150II didnt sound as good as the original imo, many said when they added a second EQ into the amp, it kinda changed the voicing too

if it holds true to its 5150 tag ... it should be a beast...
i have the 5150 combo .. and its really up there with mesa and vht in terms of gain and power. it loses out in versatility and clean tones imo... but the crunch and chug is really... fwah.

i think my personal design still nicer... haha ..they should make it like that.

Having someone sell your signature gear is like getting them to sell your music. You still get to collect royalty. :P

Mesas started out as hotrodding Fenders. So Fender probably can hotrod their own stuff as well. I believe Mesa has the patent for multiple cascading gain stages though.

Very unfortunately, this 5150III seems like milking off the cult status of EVH. Of course though, it could be geninuely good as well.

Eddie's still making music these day, porno music might I add.

He's still using his wolfgang despite overtly leaving the company and signing up with Charvel...which incidently is also owned by our good guitar conglomerate fender.

Judging from what eddie plays these days...I think I'll stick with the peavey variant of the 5150.

Nope Jackson and Charvel have since become one of Fender's subsidiaries. The amp is still called 5150, Eddie owns the rights to the name "5150", naming his studio, one of his albums, his peavey and now this fender. Hence peavey's move to market a "new" amp under the name of another number.

Eddie also owns the rights to the Wolfgang model.

18 knobs on this amp. Should be coming out during the next namm together with rumoured signature pickups tied in with SD.
