thou it might be morally wrong to some extent. they might have to resort to measures such as "scamming" people by begging, and its probably cause its hard for them to get a stable job. may it be lack of experience or lack of education.

desperation can cause alot of people to resort to regrettable actions. in their case, they just chose to pay their price by compromising with their morality.

i still give them when i see them and when i have the extra loose change. cause i know they need it to get by at least and it does give me the nice bonus fuzzy feeling. hahaha XD i still get that fuzzy feeling when i give up my seat on the bus to someone else. hehehe.

this should be thread of the month lol

Are you kidding?

Anyway, i find it very contradicting when a 'blind' person only sticks out his/her packets of tissue only when people walk pass.. Not enough? You know those deaf people with laminated notes saying "I'm deaf... Etc." they'll walk around the fastfood outlet and drop one on your table. Once my friend and i wanted to check if he was really deaf so when he walked out of the fast food outlet, we followed him and said "Excuse me" Then he turned back. And we didn't say it very loud.
I've seen this man at Orchard underpass sitting on the wheelchair and shaking as if he's having some sort of fits. I was reluctant to give him money because i thought of how this man even ended up here. Someone obviously left him there shaking for God knows how long. And we wouldn't even know where the money would end up.
If he really needed treatment, health foundations would help subsidise part of the treatment cost. And i seriously doubt 30 bucks+/- a day would be sufficient unless it's for daily necessities.

quite some time back there was this article in the straits time about beggars.

it said that some of these beggars stayed at budget hotels and some of them are aactually foreigners or something like that.

have u pple read the articles? wht is ur view on that?

i tried sniffing coke once, but the ice cubes got into my nose.

i also don't like the flag day. i walked around asking for donations. like wad sia. the people there give 10cents, 20 cents. if i was a beggar, i don't think i'd be enough to get a coke.

ok a coke is possible....2 cokes.
