Esplanade Outdoor Theatre: Renovate for nothing?

i think the sound system can be improved...cos i nearly went deaf during baybeats. at my little airport's gig no less!
maybe mr gahmen official was at the chi chi hotel dining during that time haha
that said, it kinda looks a little bit bigger now lah, though the difference is slight.
at the end of the day, just have to work with what u have/can...what to do.

yeah they took a really long time to do up the stage
for awhile it was a patch of grass remember? what was that all about?
i'm really glad that it has finally re-opened though. i suppose they had faced a number of obstacles considering it was slated to open end of 2007. better or not, i'm just glad that it is back up and bands have now a good place to play once again.
to me this stage will always be iconic of Singapore's local music scene. so many bands have played on that stage and audiences have remained captivated by them every single weekend. there are also few places in singapore that has such decent sound system for bands.
actually i'm doing a project for a music module on the place. anyone has any technical feedback on like the acoustics, the sound system of the theatre?

i stil prefer last year stage at baybeats beside the bridge. awesome for moshing ! haha. not like powerhouse got stupid stones then got water more jia lat . sianz. they should like just make a proper flooring there infront the stage instead of just stones. well the bay stage seems not bad to me , its a very cosy place to watch and play. have the heartland kind of feeling .
people always complain about noise one in singapore, what do u think we are living in singapore , king of complains! hahahaha.. got to live with it and we should be complain proof by now , let them bark till they drop.
